Then, the extension sends the headlines text and the site hostname (e.g. "www.google.com") to the Honestify API. The API returns a rewritten version of the headlines, which is displayed to the user.
The API stores the headlines text and the site hostname in a database for caching purposes. The API does not and will not store any other data, such as personally identifiable information (PII).
